he CFDTD is a Conformal Finite Difference Time Domain code, which has been under development for over ten years. Four years ago it was chosen by an independent panel appointed by the Navy for further development as a design tool for antennas for the new generation of ships. The code has recently been verified and validated (V&V'd) by the Navy--the only FDTD code to undergo this rigorous and extensive procedure, and be certified by the DoD(report available from the Navy on a need-to-know basis). PFDTD, the Parallel version of the code has been used to solve the problem of antennas and arrays, involving several thousand elements and located on complex platforms. The PFDTD routinely handles problems with >5 billion (not a misprint!) unknowns. Its efficiency has been clocked at being 90% on a 32-processor PC cluster. The code is also useful for microwave circuit and RF package modeling problems and a hybrid version that models objects with fine features, using the Newmark-Beta (variant of ADI) or subgridding in a highly efficient manner, is soon to be released. If you would like to check out the unique capabilities of the code, and use it to leave your competition in the dust, just get in touch with us and go for a "test drive".
